If you would like to adopt a dog or if you are a rescue group wanting to pull a Chester Animal Control dog, please email Elanna at puppyrescue911@yahoo.com or call Elanna at 618-859-4191. An application will be emailed to you to fill out on line and emailed back. A vet reference check and home visit are also done before adoption.
As Animal Control our dogs are only safe when they are adopted or pulled into rescue. If room runs out, euthanasia is a possibility.
All Animal control dogs have been given Nasal Bordetella (to prevent kennel cough) a DA2PPV shot (to prevent Parvo and Distemper) and have been Heart Worm Tested. Prior to being adopted all dogs will be spayed or neutered, given a rabies shot, dewormed with Drontal, microchipped, and checked over by a vet before going to their forever home. Adoption fees vary depending on specifics of each dog.
Act quickly if interested in adopting. Dogs at this facility may be held only for a short time.
I'm glad that your animal control takes such great care of the animals. My family has been thinking about getting a dog, and after reading this, I want to adopt! I really like the idea of giving an older dog a home where it can be loved and cared for.
